What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is the traditional Chinese art of healing, which has been successfully practised for over 2,000 years.
Today, acupuncture is used as a holistic, evidence-based practice for many health conditions and diseases, treating the root cause rather than just the symptoms. It is a natural and holistic approach, which focuses on prevention and ongoing management of illnesses.
How does acupuncture work?
Traditional acupuncture is based on theories to aim to normalise the flow of energy (qi) and blood throughout the body to stop any unwanted blockages along the body's pathways (meridians). These blockages usually manifest as potential symptoms or conditions (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30335320/).
Our highly qualified acupuncturists will assess you individually and use traditional forms of treatment techniques (including needling, moxibustion, cupping therapy and herbal prescription) tailored to your condition, to help re-establish the natural flow of balance to your body.
What’s the difference between Dry needling and Acupuncture?
