Dr Karen Chan (doctor of traditional Chinese medicine), clinic director, physiotherapist, acupuncturist

Karen's motto: "Your health is your wealth. Be rich in happiness, laughter, love, knowledge and balance."
Karen is one of the very few dual physio/Acupuncturists in the state of SA. She graduated from University of South Australia in 1999. Initially spending time as the sole physio in Barmera, Riverland SA, she returned to her home city of Adelaide to take on the dual role as a private physio in Golden Grove and also as a senior physio at Modbury Public Hospital. This included the senior role in orthopaedic, paediatric, surgical, women's health, palliative care and the critical care unit. She also enjoyed the role of mentoring final year physio university students. She continued this role for 11 years, with the latter years as a visiting locum.
In 2004, Karen took over as director and principal Physio at Prospect Physio. She has extensive experience in Maitland, McKenzies and Mulligan techniques, DMA clinical Pilates level 1 and 2, APA sports level 1 and 2, dry needling and Japanese acupuncture. Her yearning for continued knowledge about the incorporation of Western and Eastern medicine led her to return to University to complete her Masters degree with Distinction in Chinese Acupuncture (RMIT, Melbourne), a Masters in Reproductive Medicine with Excellence (UNSW, Sydney), and an Advanced Diploma in Fertility Acupuncture (Uk) in which she is highly passionate in the field of fertility, menopause and stress management.
Karen also lectures part-time in Acupuncture at Adelaide's Endeavour College of Natural Health. She believes that integration of Western and Eastern philosophies can provide the most holistic and effective forms of treatment, and for ideal balanced health and well-being.
Outside of the physio/acupuncture world, Karen's loves include the beach, meditation, food and wine, photography and dog sitting.
Bicky Abraham, musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist

Bicky graduated in 2000 and has completed her masters in sports and manipulative physiotherapy at University of South Australia. She has extensive experience working both overseas and locally and has worked in private and public hospitals and in the aged care sector. She has previous professional attachment with overseas sporting and local football clubs for management of injuries. She has also been involved with mentoring and supervision of junior physiotherapists in which her expertise include examination and management of neuro-musculoskeletal disorders and spinal pathologies.
Bicky's clinical interests lie in treatment strategies for soft tissue injuries, sports specific injuries, spinal problems and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
When she is not working, Bicky loves cooking, the cricket, and spending time with her beautiful family and friends.
Carmelo Scavone, physiotherapist

Carmelo is a professionally trained Italian physiotherapist who particularly likes to work in the area of upper body injuries, inclusive of neck, shoulder, arm and back pain, as well as post-trauma and surgery recovery, and chronic injury treatment.
Carmelo studied a three-year Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at Italy's Università Degli Studi Di Milano and completed work placements at prestigious hospitals in Milan and Madrid. In 2014, he began working full time at a well-known Milan physiotherapy clinic.
After moving to Australia in late 2016, Carmelo travelled and explored much of South Australia. He then began working with Prospect Physiotherapy and Health Plus Clinic in 2018. He has also done some lecturing for myotherapy college students, especially in dry needling.
As an Italian, Carmelo is completely obsessed with growing far too many veggies in his backyard, resulting in an astonishing annual haul of homemade jams and relishes. He rides his bicycle almost everywhere and is passionate about conservation and alternative lifestyles.
Corey Donnellan, musculoskeletal physiotherapist

Corey graduated from the University of South Australia in 2000 and worked in Mildura at Sunraysia Physiotherapy and Sports injury Clinic for 3 years. He then moved overseas to England to further his career for another 3 years.
Corey has been working part time at Prospect Physiotherapy Clinic since 2006. His professional areas of interest include sports injuries, headaches, Pilates and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
Outside of work, Corey loves his sports of Tennis (current member of Sturt Lawn Tennis Club), golf, listening to music, travel and spending quality time with the family.
Belinda Thoday, musculoskeletal physiotherapist

Belinda is a physiotherapist with a Sports and Exercise Degree background and over 13 years physiotherapy experience. She enjoys helping clients with musculoskeletal injuries to achieve optimal results by taking a functional and holistic approach to treatment. Belinda has spent time working as a physiotherapist in every state in Australia but loves Adelaide the best!
Her sense of adventure has seen her work in a diverse range of settings including private and public hospitals, a professional soccer team and the military. This experience has enabled Belinda to hone her skills and understand the many influences that impact the structures of the body.
Belinda's latest passion is stand-up paddle boarding, having bought an inflatable one just before lock-down. Other interests include pen-drawings and cooking. In fact she is part-way through writing and illustrating a cookbook, so if you have any tasty recipes bring them to your next appointment with her!
Daphné Auclair, Physiotherapist, women’s pelvic health physio, pilates instructor

Daphné is a French-Canadian who studied physiotherapy in the Netherlands and has come to Australia in 2022. Most of her work experience was done in Switzerland in neurology, ortho, and sport. She loves being able to help empower patients and help people move, and so loves teaching pilates at the clinic.
Daphné is highly energetic, passionate, and is interested in several areas of physiotherapy especially women’s pelvic health, paediatrics (kids), jaw pain and exercise rehabilitation. She’s completed her APA Women’s health physio level 1, APA Women’s pelvic health level 1, APA Women’s health through life stages, and Roscher’s Women’s health foundations and fundamentals courses.
On a mission to empower people to feel amazing, she is also always up for a laugh.
As a French-Canadian, you bet Daphné misses maple syrup, enjoys a cold plunge in the oceans- yes even in winter, and loves nature. During her free time, she loves cycling, getting lost, climbing, hiking, aerial/circus, and running around outside with her partner or friends. Always up for a challenge and eager to learn more about Australia, Daphné is excited to get involved.
Dr Voula Tep, Acupuncturist

After graduating from Endeavour College of Natural Health in 2011 as a massage therapist, Voula worked for a high-end salon that worked exclusively in body work for retired athletes and corporate clientele. She then settled in a permanent position at a chiropractic clinic providing manual therapy for a broad range of people, but particularly in pregnancy, work and sports injuries.
In 2015, Voula saw there was an opportunity to treat more than just the physical level with clients and returned to Endeavour to study her Bachelors in Acupuncture. Since then, her interests in helping people connect their emotion and physical self has broadened alongside the ability to assist even more during a women’s pregnancy. Even though her passion is still in musculoskeletal conditions, her goal is to always provide treatments that help balance all aspects of a person.
When Voula is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and any form of exercise balanced out with food and wine. You will also find her enjoying the sunshine anytime it is out!
Kathryn Buckby, counsellor

At the centre of Kathryn’s counselling work is a passion to guide clients in living their best life based on personal values and filled with purpose, meaning and self-care for overall well-being. Kathryn’s gentle approach toward what’s happened or is happening for you, rather than what’s wrong with you, helps to create a trusting and supportive environment to best inspire personal growth.
As well as 1:1 counselling, Kathryn loves to facilitate wellbeing workshops under the banner ‘Dare to Dream’. These workshops encourage learning, caring and sharing within a safe social space. The energy created is very powerful.
Kathryn works in alliance with other health care professionals including physiotherapists, medical Doctors, and speech pathologists, allowing for a more comprehensive and holistic approach to health care.
Gaining the relevant formal qualifications to ensure safe and skilful professional counselling work has been the driver for Kathryn completing Bachelor of Psychology and Master of Counselling degrees. These qualifications have enabled her registration with peak national body, The Australian Counselling Association.
At other times, Kathryn enjoys all aspects of being out in nature. Whether being taken for a walk by her two border collie dogs, or mindful relaxation under the sun or stars, or enjoying sitting under trees with family and friends while listening to a band play at a spoilt for choice winery, being outdoors provides Kathryn with the self-care to energise her passion for counselling.
Charmmy Cheng, Accredited Practising Dietitian

Charmmy is an experienced community dietitian with a background as a cooking instructor, driven by her commitment to health and well-being. Her journey as a nutritionist and cooking instructor began in 2012. She earned a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Flinders University in 2020, shaping her path with a deep passion for enhancing lives through better eating habits, eventually guiding her to become an Accredited Practicing Dietitian.
With extensive experience in managing chronic diseases, weight management, and providing nutritional support in the disability sector, Charmmy is adept at creating personalised plans for her patients and clients, helping them achieve their goals.
When Charmmy is not working, she enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with her bunny rabbits. She is an absolute bunny lover.
Mathew Ehrlich, podiatrist

Mathew is the director of the SA Podiatry Clinic. He graduated, bachelor of podiatry, in 2002 from the University of South Australia and was awarded the JR Pickering prize for podiatric biomechanics.
Since graduating he has worked in both the public sector and in private practice. For the last nine years he has developed expertise in podiatric sports medicine and has worked extensively with leading South Australian orthopaedic surgeons, sports physicians, and physiotherapists. He has been trusted with the successful rehabilitation of both professional athletes right down to weekend warriors. He is also actively involved in Sports Medicine Australia, the Australian Podiatry Association, district cricket and the amateur football league.
Mathew’s areas of special interests include biomechanics of the lower limb and foot. This enables accurate diagnosis and treatment of lower limb and foot injuries. His scope of practice ranges from children requiring appropriate assessment, advice and in some cases treatment through to the elderly wishing to remain fit and active. He has advanced experience in manual therapy techniques including foot and ankle mobilisation. Western acupuncture and dry needling also form part of his practice. Working closely with leading orthopaedic surgeons, his understanding of various surgical techniques will contribute to a successful post operative foot and ankle rehabilitation.
His personal interests outside of work include spending time with his three young daughters, family and friends, fishing, organic gardening and food production.
Anne Rodgers, yoga and meditation teacher
Anne blends the practice of yoga with her love of mindfulness. She graduated as a Hatha yoga teacher with Yoga Spirit Studios in 2015 and has since complimented her training with Neal Ghoshal (restorative yoga). She has completed a Diploma of Positive Psychology and Wellbeing, is a Level 1 Teacher with Yoga Australia and is a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction facilitator, trained by Mindfulness Training Institute of Australasia.
Anne guides her students to replenish and regenerate the body mind connection with emphasis on breath awareness and balancing the central nervous system. Anne encourages slow mindful movements to bring greater awareness to the body and to quiet the mind. She has a keen interest to support students with responding to the pressures of daily life. Her sessions are peppered with enquiries for students to contemplate, that resonate beyond the dedicated yoga session.
Anne is currently a wellbeing mentor with Oasis Mindfulness, working with business professionals to reach their peak potential through mindfulness business practice and personal values. She uses 30 years of business wisdom to help individuals to find happiness and enjoy life, even in the most challenging of professional and personal circumstances.
Elizabeth Chesang, remedial massage therapist

Elizabeth is a dedicated and qualified Registered Remedial Massage Therapist with over 10 years’ experience. Her sessions would typically include client consultation and postural assessment to provide the appropriate therapeutic massage (deep tissue, relaxation, reflexology, sports, or pregnancy). Elizabeth provides personalised care tailored to address specific concerns promoting relaxation, healing and well-being.
Elizabeth has worked at other massage therapy clinics in Adelaide and is happy to join the Prospect clinic family.
Maria (Mary) Knezevic, practice manager and remedial massage therapist

Mary has been part of our team since 2007. She has completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy and is achieving great results. Whilst working in conjunction with our physiotherapists, acupuncturists and yoga instructor, Mary's bubbly personality makes our clients feel at ease while relieving their everyday stresses through massage. Mary has access to the most current information within the complementary therapies, has her Provider number and is registered with Hicaps for most Private Health funds.
On certain days, you will also find Mary at the Reception desk and has a natural ability to ensure patients are always welcomed into the clinic. When not at the clinic, she also works for elite sports clubs providing remedial massage to the elite members of AFL teams (Port Adelaide, Geelong Cats, Brisbane Lions, Western Bulldogs), visiting state and national cricket teams and A league soccer teams (Western Sydney, Sydney, Melbourne, Central coast, Wellington).
Away from work, Mary loves travelling, dancing, and is a loving dedicated mother to her 3 children. She has a natural ability to calm babies and speaks 3 languages.
Vasileia (‘Vas’), receptionist
Vasileia — or Vas, for short — is one of our bubbly faces on our front desk team. You'll likely see her on Mondays and Saturdays as she assists with our receptionist duties. She also is fluent in Greek.
Outside of the clinic, you'll find Vas studying at university or performing in musical theatre. Come and say hi when you're next in and compare your favourite musical or dance move!
Marta, receptionist
You'll see Marta’s smiling face on Wednesdays and the odd Thursdays, helping out Mary and Vasileia.
In addition to admin, Marta is a part time rental property manager and in her off time, she loves to bake, read and play tennis. Marta is excited to be at the clinic and cannot wait to meet you all 😄
